I love shooting in Charlottesville, especially if it’s a New Mexican Styled King Family Vineyards Wedding.
Andrew and Emilia chose the beautiful Charlottesville area for friends and family from around the country to enjoy. They wanted to incorporate Emilia’s New Mexican heritage into the style of the wedding and did so by bringing in Floriography from Albuquerque to collaborate with Fete Weddings out of Richmond. Florals infused with cactuses, bright desert flowers and chili peppers somehow merged perfectly with wine barrels, horses and traditional Virginia architecture. My favorite element was a succulent cactus that adorned the dessert table. After the ceremony, a mariachi band lured guests to the patio to enjoy cocktails and traditional southern Virginia fare by BBQ Exchange. One of my favorite restaurants to visit while on my way to Charlottesville and a must visit for any BBQ enthusiast. It was a beautiful October evening that many won’t soon forget.
