I recently decided to take off with my three boys on a road trip down to Florida for Spring Break. Crazy I must be to travel 14 hours alone in a car with three kids under 10, but in all honesty, it wasn’t too bad (namely due to a grueling schedule of driving through the night. We made a stop in Savannah, Georgia on the way down. Please, if you are ever in the area, you must stop by Narobias Grits and Gravy. To die for.
We stayed at the Canoe Outpost on the Little Manatee River and made day trips all around the area. These are just a few shots of my boys on our trip.
Note: My youngest seems to have learned to favor the camera…a lot.
I am so happy to finally show you Wes + Nicole’s wedding from this past November at the Canoe Outpost on the Little Manatee River. Wes and Nicole aren’t my typical client, in that I’ve known Wes’s family since I was a toddler and his two sisters are two of my oldest friends. His parents are my parents best friends. And even though they moved to Florida more than 20 years ago, we all have maintained a miraculously close relationship, one that I am very proud of. Our family connections don’t end there, but also include two other families that have the same degree of closeness. In a sense, we’re one really, really large family. Aunts and uncles, grandparents and even really close family friends on all sides are all included in this crazy network of characters. Nicole’s family merged so fluidly into this group and Wes’ family, that there is no doubt that this was meant to be.
So, shooting this wedding was a huge honor. Really. I mean, I have changed Wes’ diapers. I watched him grow up. I dropped him on his head when he was a toddler…he might not even know that. I’ve been documenting their little family since before Anise was born, and hope to continue to do so.
The wedding in total was amazing.
