I would say that May is maybe my favorite month to have a wedding at London Town and Gardens, a beautiful venue just outside of Annapolis. The peonies are in full bloom and the gardens are bright shades of green brimming with azaleas, tulips and other spring flower varieties. Catherine and Adam were blessed to have missed out on most of the rain that day, which only made an appearance during dinner. The lighting and mood was perfect and London Town provided the perfect backdrop to a spring garden wedding. Catherine and Adam said the most heartfelt vows, which left the crowd in awe. Guests sipped on lemonade and ice tea and mingled in the gardens during cocktail hour. Thank you so much to Charming Grace Events for coordinating such a beautiful event.
Now that my 2017 wedding season has come to a close, I can focus some of my extra time blogging some of my beautiful weddings from this past year. I love shooting at Rixey Manor not only because the venue is fantastic, but I just love working with Isadora and Ben, the owners. A wedding at Rixey always feels intimate and cozy. This Rixey Manor winter wedding was such a wonderful way to get in the mood for the holidays.

If you’re looking for variety in your venue, then Maymont has you covered. With vast Italian and Japanese gardens, sprawling grounds and old mansions, there are plenty of locations to choose from for portraits and ceremony locations. Emily and Mike decided to get married in the Italian gardens, surrounded by so many of their friends and family. Beautifully styled by Blush Events, it couldn’t have been any more elegant. In the end I grew to love their crazy, close knit group of friends and had so much fun photographing all of them. This Maymont Mansion wedding is a top of my list of favorites.

I’ve been reminiscing about this beautiful October wedding since working on Karen and Alex’s wedding albums the past few months. Their Washington Mill Dye House wedding was spectacular. I was particularly in love with the florals by White Magnolia Designs. Make sure to check out Sue’s work on her website when you get a chance, she’s an amazing floral designer! Aside from that, Karen and Alex put together a wedding that was not only beautiful, but a blast as well!

Sheila and Tommy invited their closest family and friends to enjoy a colorful and festive ceremony overlooking the Potomac at the historic Murray Hill. A fusion ceremony with Persian, Lebanese and American elements brought their two families together. The sofreh was created by hand by family and a light drizzle brought people closer as they said their vows. I am so fortunate to have met Sheila and Tommy, their love of adventure, food and their friends and family was a common bond that we shared. Their infectious love was unforgettable.
