Maymont Mansion WeddingEmily + Mike

If you’re looking for variety in your venue, then Maymont has you covered.  With vast Italian and Japanese gardens, sprawling grounds and old mansions, there are plenty of locations to choose from for portraits and ceremony locations.  Emily and Mike decided to get married in the Italian gardens, surrounded by so many of their friends and family.  Beautifully styled by Blush Events, it couldn’t have been any more elegant. In the end I grew to love their crazy, close knit group of friends and had so much fun photographing all of them. This Maymont Mansion wedding is a top of my list of favorites.

Washington Mill Dye House WeddingKaren + Alex

I’ve been reminiscing about this beautiful October wedding since working on Karen and Alex’s wedding albums the past few months.  Their Washington Mill Dye House wedding was spectacular.  I was particularly in love with the florals by White Magnolia Designs.  Make sure to check out Sue’s work on her website when you get a chance, she’s an amazing floral designer! Aside from that, Karen and Alex put together a wedding that was not only beautiful, but a blast as well!

Murray Hill WeddingSheila + Tommy

Sheila and Tommy invited their closest family and friends to enjoy a colorful and festive ceremony overlooking the Potomac at the historic Murray Hill.  A fusion ceremony with Persian, Lebanese and American elements brought their two families together.  The sofreh was created by hand by family and a light drizzle brought people closer as they said their vows.  I am so fortunate to have met Sheila and Tommy,  their love of adventure, food and their friends and family was a  common bond that we shared.  Their infectious love was unforgettable.  Murray Hill Wedding - Leesburg Virginia Wedding PhotographersLeesburg Virginia Wedding Photographer- Murray Hill WeddingMurray Hill Wedding - Leesburg Wedding PhotographersMurray Hill Wedding - Leesburg Wedding PhotographersMurray Hill Wedding - Leesburg Virginia Wedding PhotographersMurray Hill Wedding - Leesburg Virginia Wedding Photographers Murray Hill Wedding - Leesburg Virginia Wedding PhotographersLeesburg Virginia Wedding Photographer- Murray Hill WeddingLeesburg Virginia Wedding Photographer- Murray Hill WeddingLeesburg Virginia Wedding Photographer- Murray Hill WeddingLeesburg Virginia Wedding Photographer- Murray Hill WeddingLeesburg Virginia Wedding Photographer- Murray Hill WeddingMurray Hill Wedding - Leesburg Wedding PhotographersMurray Hill Wedding - Leesburg Wedding PhotographersLeesburg Virginia Wedding Photographer- Murray Hill WeddingMurray Hill Wedding - Leesburg Virginia Wedding PhotographersMurray Hill Wedding - Leesburg Virginia Wedding PhotographersMurray Hill Wedding - Leesburg Virginia Wedding PhotographersMurray Hill Wedding - Leesburg Wedding PhotographersMurray Hill Wedding - Leesburg Wedding PhotographersMurray Hill Wedding - Leesburg Virginia Wedding Photographers

Tuckahoe Plantation WeddingKacie + Blake

If you’re looking for a historic wedding venue with charm, you’ve got to check out this  Tuckahoe Plantation wedding from this past summer.  Kacie and Blake fell in love with it’s charm and history and knew it would be perfect for their intimate summer wedding.  Of all the wedding traditions out there, Tuckahoe has it’s own that are notable and unique.  A few centuries ago, it was to test the diamond of your ring by etching your names and wedding date on a window pane.  If you look closely around the property, you’ll find a few.  If you can’t make it any  time soon, make sure to scroll down. Another tradition is burying the bourbon.  Find a spot by the old oak tree a month before your wedding and voila! , you’ll be promised good weather on your wedding day! Kacie and Blake definitely benefited from this old tradition, because the weather was perfect and they couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day. Their ceremony was set behind the gardens between the natural arches of trees.  For two romantics that love the writings of Neruda, I couldn’t imagine a more perfect setting.

New Mexican Styled King Family Vineyards WeddingANDREW + EMILIA

I love shooting in Charlottesville, especially if it’s a New Mexican Styled King Family Vineyards Wedding.

Andrew and Emilia chose the beautiful Charlottesville area for friends and family from around the country to enjoy.  They wanted to incorporate Emilia’s New Mexican heritage into the style of the wedding and did so by bringing in Floriography from Albuquerque to collaborate with Fete Weddings out of Richmond.  Florals infused with cactuses, bright desert flowers and chili peppers somehow merged perfectly with wine barrels, horses and traditional Virginia architecture.  My favorite element was a succulent cactus that adorned the dessert table.   After the ceremony, a mariachi band lured guests to the patio to enjoy cocktails and traditional southern Virginia fare by BBQ Exchange.  One of my favorite restaurants to visit while on my way to Charlottesville and a must visit for any BBQ enthusiast.  It was a beautiful October evening that many won’t soon forget.
